A new chapter for Dutchbricks: Recognized LEGO® Fan Community

Since December 2022, Dutchbricks had been recognised by the LEGO® Group as a Recognised LEGO® User Group (RLUG). A lot has changed this year. The existing RLUG programme was discontinued, and as a result, our recognition as an RLUG will end on 31 July 2026.

On 16 April, the official transition to the new LEGO® Fan CoLab began. The transition was not automatic: communities had to reapply and were reassessed to be eligible for recognition within LEGO® Fan CoLab.

Thanks to the steps we have taken as an association over the past few years, we were fortunately already well organised in many respects. And it paid off: on 1 May 2026, we received the wonderful news that Dutchbricks had successfully completed the accreditation process.

LEGO® Fan CoLab was officially launched on 5 August 2026. Now that the official kick-off presentation for LEGO® Fan CoLab has taken place on Wednesday 12 August 2026, we are proud to announce that Dutchbricks is a Recognised LEGO® Fan Community.

For us, this is not just a new name. It is a wonderful affirmation of what we have built up together with our members over the past few years, and a new step towards the future.

We’re looking forward to the opportunities within LEGO® Fan CoLab, new collaborations with other LEGO® Fan Communities and, of course, to many more wonderful LEGO® moments together. Here’s to a new chapter as a Recognised LEGO® Fan Community!
