Skærbæk Fan Weekend 2026: An unforgettable adventure with Dutchbricks
Once again this year, an enthusiastic group of Dutchbricks members set off for Denmark for the now legendary Skærbæk Fan Weekend. The event is known as one of the highlights for AFOLs from all over Europe, but just as important are the camaraderie, the shared activities and the wonderful memories made along the way.

On Wednesday, we arrived at our shared house on the island of Rømø. After a long journey, a large pan of spaghetti was waiting for us. In fact, there was so much of it that we were able to enjoy it regularly throughout the weekend, with a smile on our faces!
Thursday was all about AFOL Day at the LEGO® House in Billund. It was a wonderful day where we got to enjoy exclusive activities and, of course, some lovely gifts. After taking it all in, we rounded off the day with a cosy meal of wraps at our holiday home.
On Friday, the group split up. A large number of us set off for LEGOLAND® Billund for a day full of nostalgia and inspiration. At the same time, several exhibitors travelled ahead to Skærbæk to build their MOCs and set up their exhibition spaces. In the evening, we got together again for games, some relaxed building and, above all, lots of LEGO® chat.
The weekend itself was entirely devoted to the Skærbæk Fan Event. Dutchbricks was well represented with a range of impressive MOCs and an enthusiastic group of members. As always, there was plenty of inspiration to be found, new connections were made, and we were able to enjoy stunning creations from all corners of the world.
On Saturday evening, the event continued at our holiday home with a cosy barbecue. It didn’t quite go to plan, though, because at one point the barbecue itself decided to put on a spectacular show and briefly caught fire. Fortunately, it was just a hilarious moment that kept cropping up in our conversations.
On Sunday, as well as attending the event, a few members also visited a local flea market, where they made some surprising finds and had some lovely chats with the locals.
Monday was once again all about Billund. Some members visited the LEGO® Idea House, whilst others were treated to a unique behind-the-scenes tour of LEGOLAND®. A few lucky ones were even allowed to shop in the LEGO® staff shop, which was a dream come true for many. To round off this fantastic week, we enjoyed dinner together at a restaurant. As we ate, we began to look forward to the journey home and the many stories we would share with our families.
On Tuesday, it was time to say goodbye to Rømø and everyone began their journey home. What remains are the memories of a fantastic week full of LEGO®, friendship, fun and unique experiences.
In short: Skæerbæk 2026 was yet another great success for the Dutchbricks delegation. We saw some stunning creations, had some amazing experiences and, above all, had a brilliant time. Roll on the next edition!
